Building a new house

Choose the right architect for your house, at a fair fee

• Architect shortlist — Architects matched to your project, with due diligence by Kolo.
• Architect fee check — What the architect’s fee covers, what it leaves out, and the wording to close the gaps.

Get your house plan and design right before it’s frozen

• House plan review — An independent read of your plan for space, light, flow and cost — before it is frozen.
• Structural design check — A second structural engineer reads your design for safety and wasted steel.

Know your house construction cost and BOQ before anyone quotes

• House construction cost estimate — What each stage of your build should cost, foundation to handover.
• BOQ & material estimate — How much steel, cement, sand, blocks and tiles your house needs — so deliveries can be checked.

Check your house construction quotation is fair and complete

• Construction quotation check — One contractor quotation read line by line — what is priced, what is vague, what is missing.
• Compare construction quotations — Quotes normalised to the same scope, so you compare prices — not guesses.
• Material & brand check — Grades and thicknesses checked — so what is priced is what gets built.

Sign a house construction agreement that protects you

• Construction agreement review — Your agreement read clause by clause, with the risks ranked before you sign.
